Internet

I've had internet connection at home for so long I just cant remember how it all started off... Laughing

Cathryn started a thread recently along similar lines but I'm not sure this is quite the same thing.

I may be moving down to my parents place in the near future... they have never had any internet there and I just cannot survive without it!! At home I have wireless broadband. Can someone remind me of the steps that need to be taken in order to get the internet at my parents place please?

You'll need to contact an ISP of your choice (go with your current one if you're happy) and ask them to set up broadband on the parental telephone line. It will take a couple of weeks to set up probably, and will involve a fee, possibly around the £50 mark.

What Andrew said. Whenever we have moved, we have just phoned our provider and told them where we were going and when, they gave us a date and it miraculously happened.

Thanks Andrew and Chez... I guess if I wanted to also leave the internet available where I am now I would need to take out a new contract for my parents place tho....

Sounds quite simple and straightforward tho... Very Happy
