This semi blank page malarky seems to be happening again. Is the hamster a luggage?

Mrs. FS. It may be a browser issue. If you're using IE check the amount of disk space it's using to store temporary Internet files.
Tools -> Internet Options -> Browing History -> Settings
IE sets it to around 10% of total disk space but if it's too large it has problems. I set mine to around 8-10Mb. You can clear down the temporary internet files (in most browsers) and this again can resolve some quirky issues when browsing.
I also have 'check for new versions' (or similar) when request web pages rather than getting them from browser cache, but that's because I'm a developer and it suits me better.

It's more likely to be a glitch - I've observed this myself, and there appeared to be a chunk of code missing from the HTML received
