Nice idea, but I think I'd need a bigger oven.

There's some beautiful examples of these stoves in the Bishop's Palace in the Kremlin. Every room has a different design, each tile is hand made and baked to a high glaze. Really beautiful.

Sounds gorgeous. I've seen pictures of huge Russian (or maybe Scandanavian) stoves that were big enough to sleep on in winter - very practical!

we've been known to sleep on top of the bread oven at the medieval village when staying over during winter shows, its tehnically in an outside building- lots of through air flow, but the flat area over the oven where the bread normally proves is just big enough for two sleeping bags, and lovely and warm on a cold night!

my brother has a wood stove which will heat a four bedroom home on a log or two through a Canadian winter without needing to turn on the heat

I've been wanting a mass-stove for a while now. Tried to get on a course on how to build one, but haven't been able to yet.
