I am making peach jam this evening. I found 6kg of fruit from my bargain fruit trees, I have 6, 385 ml jars.
how much will they make per kg of fruit as a general rule?
never made jam before

Errm, don't know exactly but you'll get more Kg of jam than fruit.

Usually you will yield about 1 1/2 times the fruit weight in jam. A word of warning though, Peach jam in very difficult to get to set. Additional pectin will probably be required

i was just about to say extra pectin,a few crab apples or perhaps the powdered stuff is the easy way

and about 1 1/2 times the fruit
