Junk Mail & ThunderbirdDoes anyone know how I can get Mozilla Thunderbird to download junk mail?
Every now & again a message comes through that won't download & stops anything after it downloading too. I usually go through webmail to delete the offending messages, but that's not working right now & one malicious piece of rubbish is preventing me from downloading all the others

Didn't know you could stop it. AFAIK the junk mail controls don't prevent messages from downloading.

It's not the controls, it's something about the message that jams it (does it with OE too) but I wish I could either get it to download or delete it to stop it clogging up the messages.

It's one of those horrible mails that come with having the e-mail on the website I wish they'd get the message that I [and the farm] don't want a bigger manhood or viagra

Two suggestions for dealing with a troublesome email that won't download properly and thus blocks others from downloading.
1/ If your ISP offers webmail (browser) access, try that. You should be able to
- access newer mails
- and maybe even delete the offending one
Go into your ISP's site and look for mail, my stuff, that sort of thing...
2/ If there is no browser access, you should ask the ISP's tech support, (by email or, better by phone), to trash that specific bit of mail for you.
Once upon a time, long ago when a 33k6 modem was quick, someone sent me a file of about 100mb - that I disn't want.

Sorted now thanks, my tech support got on the case & fixed the site so that webmail was once again accessible.
