Knitted shopping bagIf I was allowed to enlarge my "things I would like to make one day" list, I think I'd add this http://scrumptiousliving.wordpress.com/1bag/ , but I'm not, so I won't...

Why not? Easy, cheap, quick, useful...

I am on a campaign to simplify my life - one aspect is NOT adding anything else to the "one day..." list . Unfortunately interesting things keep appearing in front of my eyes! This one seemed worth sharing for those that do not have closed "one day..." lists.
(Also - not that quick at my knitting speed )

Tell you what, I'll add it to mine, for both of us. What a good idea - I like the Christmas stockings, too. I meant to do some of those last year.
I'm going to have to go round with my eyes closed, if I don't want to have enough on on my things to do one say list to keep me occupied for several lifetimes.

Oh dear, I hadn't looked at the Christmas stockings . They are nice, aren't they? Still rules is rules and I have no need of Christmas stockings anyway . I used to enjoy accumulating ideas for things to do one day, but recently I find I'm actually feeling oppressed rather than comforted by all those possibilities . I think it's a getting-older thing and connected to my general desire to declutter my life... As part of the general clear-out I'm getting rid of outworn plans as well as outgrown garments, unwanted gifts, unused mistaken purchases, superfluous books and general tat.

I admire your strength---we had a massive clearout when we moved last year---we had to as we were downsizing our space by more than half---but we've still way too much stuff and no room to put things---and looking at it is just depressing, especially the bags of clothes in several sizes, all mine my O.H. never alters

It's early days yet lottie - most of my resolutions get washed away by the tide of temptation eventually, but I'm still swimming with the powerful zeal of the newly-converted at the moment .

Reading about your WIP on your blog has probably influenced my current resolution . I want to experience the joys of FINISHING things more often . And get rid of the irritation generated by piles of unfinished stuff. This morning I heroically resisted the temptation to buy a very good quality, but far too big linen skirt for £1 on the grounds that I will almost certainly never actually get around to altering it to fit...

see? I'm not as good as you... I would have bought it.. then set it aside and not allowed myself to work on it until I finished something on my 5 projects.. so thats even worse!
