I must be a really sad rabbit... because instead of getting excited about the project.... I just got cross that they can't differentiate between knitting & crochet!

I can't see why she's doing it that way. Really wasteful of yarn: I think I'd knit (or crochet) pieces, full them and then join them. None of this fancy loopiness!

Sorry, and I added to that by getting it wrong too!

Not to worry! I should lighten up!

I simply have to disapprove don't I - why crochet a yurt when you can felt one (and don't tell me because it can be self supporting - I shall just stick my fingers inmy ears and *lalala*)
What about when it gets wet? When it naturally starts to felt (as it will if it is made from 100% untreated wool). It will shrink along the length of the fibre surely

I was wondering about the 'getting wet' issue too!!
Ridiculous really.

It might be an installation under cover
But who wouldn't want to get down and make a proper felt covering?

Well you know - anytime there is a gelding, a steppe, some yak blood and milk, some mother of felt, an afternoon
(I'd love to )

My step cousin (if thats the right term) has just won £1/2 million to crochet 3 big animals & put them in a glass case for the 2012 olympics.
WHY?
Any stuffed toy company could run them up in a day for a few £k.

Ah - I'll have to save up then

Maybe it's the next DS skillshare weekend. Get all the sheepy people on here to save up their fleeces and then Frewen can lead everyone else in felting them into a yurt. Sorts out the accommodation as well

Yeah - except I've only read about how to do it - I've never actually *done* it

And your problem is exactly....

Frewen: I think she said that each bit of crochet had been fulled.
Still not really sure why she's doing it like that though.

Oh dear - my mistake then *trudges off to the bottom of the comprehension class*

Has got me thinking about flags though...
