Knitting question

Someone at the skills share, when we were knitting the patches for Tay's baby blanket, told me a trick for keeping the end of rows neat and tight. But I can't remember who told me or what it was Embarassed

Help?

knit the last stitch tightly?

If you slipped the last one, wouldn't you end up with too few stitches?

I think it was you Mochyn. I'm being a bit dense now though. I can't remember what you mean - do you just pull the stitch over on to the other needle with out knitting?

yes
alison

put the needle in, as if to knit, but instead of doing the round and through, with the wool, just slip it onto the needle, then knit as per normal for the second stitch.
