Lambs with squitsdagging ain't much fun is it? Did some fly spraying at the weekend, the college lambs all had diorrhea, got to be worms hasn't it? Ken the sheep has offered to come round and worm em for us.
Hooves need trimming again too, seem to have grown much quicker than last year (3 weeks since last time).

Hasn't got to be, could be just lush grass, depends what the regime is. Don't envy you.

Regime? Anarchy as far as I can tell, we certainly don't impose any rules and regs on em....
The grass is quite lush but I thought they'd be used to it by now (6 weeksish)

We never wormed last year, the field (3 acres) is all available to them, last of the previous lot went in Novemeber so almost 6 months since last stock.

Roll it up and smoke it? Anything to prevent you thinking sheep scours are 'interesting'.

I didn't mean the scours are interesting, just the pathology.

Coccidiosis crap is usually very black and sticky - one to watch out for. Sheep can scour badly if they're put onto pasture that's had fertiliser on it (ours are sh!tting through the eye of a needle at the moment).
Serously, on the worm front, don't reach for the bottle willy-nilly, as the little buggers can quickly build up a resistance. Slap a sloppy turd sample in a yoghurt pot and take it down the vet's for a faecal egg count if you're worried it's worms, and there has been no change of diet/pasture/alcopop to bring on the squits.

always seem to scour when the new grass comes in. but then they settle down - start forming proper sheep poos again.. not the pats
its too hot at the mo.. poor girls are too hot in their wool. .. shearing at the weekend..
