Washing and drying - estimate 4 lots as Leo's nappy leaked
Have another look for the post-hole for the rotary drier
Cook something with the veg in the fridge
Wash and dress everyone
Feed Leo and I lunch without falling out about who uses the spoon
Put some bread on
Put laundry away
Go for walk with children this afternoon
Take up Leo's trousers
Sew buttons on my and A's trousers
Find driving licence, passports and marriage lines, possibly whilst looking for something else
Put books on shelves and fold down boxes
Find box of stuff for charity shop
I there's probably other stuff, too. Currently having a cup of tea and enjoying the sleeping children.

Would one spoon each solve the problem?
|
Chez

In the sense that he would no longer be trying to rip the spoon from my hand, yes.
In the sense that there would still be dinner all over the floor, walls and curtains, no.

Two bowls? One for him with next to nothing in to practise spoon wielding, one for you to actually feed him from...

so who was the suspisious person in the woods?
and as for the rotary drier hole we used to have a broom handle with a foot square peice of ply nailed on the end and when the dryer came out the handle went in and was used as a bird table, never lost the hole then.
my biggest problem at the moment is how to tell the wife that the spur of the moment bid i stuck on something I dont need but like on Ebay last night at $2 over the last bid won and I just spent £110
|
Chez
|
The trouble is, once the bowl gets nearly empty, it gets jettisoned at speed on to the floor. He's a chap who knows his own mind .

Chez

| Pilsbury wrote: | | and as for the rotary drier hole ... |
Which would be fine if I knew for certain that there WAS a hole somewhere ... but I so far I am only supposing, because there is a drying in the shed . I think I might just put in a new one ...
I feel your eBay confession pain, as someone who has bought both a conservatory and a rayburn without telling her OH.

Ahh in that case the previous people might just of had a bucket of concrete with a pipe in the middle like my uncle, that way he can put the drier in the sun or, more normally, in his conservatory
|
Chez
|
It's just started to rain, which nicely puts that problem on hold for a bit . The bucket of concrete thing sounds like quite a good idea, actually. He must have had a BIG conservatory

Wake early, and wish I didn't have to get up
Get up, faff around, drink lots of tea
Re-pitch a failed fermentation from yesterday
Put on three jumpers and two pairs of socks as well as normal clothes
Prepare for farmers market and load the car
Do farmers market, stand in puddle for four hours and get wet feet
Visit folk on the way back
Check fermentation - fine now
Drink more tea
Wash up mess / pans from last night's work
Find those crab apples in the freezer
Prep the fresh ones and put the whole lot on to cook
Strain through jelly bag
Laundry
There's more but I can't think what at the moment.

I'm not. And I forgot to add clean out chickens, which might have to go by the by for this week. CS just suggested they only need doing every three months! I've been doing them every week. Oh well.

Chez

I'd just do them when they need doing. Which I realise is no help . I do ours more in the winter - the shaving go horrible much quicker in wet weather as they all troop in and out with wet feet.

Fat chance, they kick all the stuff by the door out into the run to get wet and soggy and kill all the grass. Stupid birds. Bum, I forgot to shut them up........
