Listen ........Can you hear it? Exactly - Silence. OH is taking our most recent house guest back to the ferry accompanied by smaller boy. Older boy is still asleep ( ) and I have the place to myself ...... until tomorrow when the next guests arrive .
Now - shall I get on with some of the things that I REALLY should be doing - or shallI just make another cup of tea and enjoy the moment?!

Speaking as someone who has a small person in the room above me yelling his lungs out in an I'M NOT TIRED AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A NAP kind of way, I vote for enjoying the moment.

Kettle's on ..... and I can hear the patter of not so mall feet upstairs ..... oh well - it was wonderful while it lasted . Hang on a mimute - patterings have stopped - maybe he just got up to get something and has gone back to bed ......... still quiet so maybe I can share that cuppa with you all afterall

Horrible and drizzly here - no porridge here but toast with yummy home-made peach jam. OH and smaller boy are back, older boy is now up ...... so I think I might go and hide in the polytunnel for an hour or so

Excellent idea.
Have there been any more squeeks and excitable puppies for guests to marvel at Rosie?

Excitable puupy has recently had first birthday - now both large and excitable but still an excellent rodent catcher - caught small rat/large mouse which OH disturbed when cutting the excess pond liner away yesterday. And - more importantly caught the rabbiit that thought it might like to take up residence in my veg patch . At the moment all rodents seem to be outside but I'm sure we will be inundated again once the weather gets colder
