logo opinionsI have been working in a new logoand just looking for some opinions really
I like the 3rd one best but wondering if the text is too small

tahir
|
3 for me
|
sally_in_wales
|
I prefer the third one too
|
Nanny
|
i agree
it is much clearer than the others

I'm trying to decide bewteen 2 & 4.
What colourways are you working with?
|
2steps
|
not certain on colour. possibily just the black and white
|
Lisa
|
I like 2
|
Tay

3, 1, 4, 2 for me. If you go with a white centred image, I'd suggest making the text a little stronger, as with number 2 it isn't particularly easy to distinguish between the text and the logo.

Lower left (3) Your eye is drawn to the name, surrounded by image.

Going to be different
Copywriters eye is drawn to one, then three...

If you block them out and look at each one individually, 4 stand out to me. The black shape with nothing interfering with the silhouette, then strong white letters in the centre.
You all blind?????????

top right for me! the filled in ones look a bit harsh (?) and the unfilled sort of convey moon as well, but I couldn't explain why!
|
Cho-ku-ri
|
Third for me, but I would close the circle at the to to represent the moon.
|
woodsprite
|
Top right for me too. The dark ones look quite sinister, or is that the look you're after?
Woody.

how are you going to use this logo ? How big is it going to be ?
Is it going to be on labels(printed or woven) or just on paper / website? It all makes a difference to how well the image works and how readable the text will be ?
Given the name I would go for a shorter phoenix, placed in a circle (moon) with the text around the outside.

Top right (1?) for me too. Looks balanced, it's clear, just works, somehow.

hedgewitch

I like 3. And I like the suggestion someone made about closing the circle for the moon.

No, no: the wings imply a complete circle, and the feathers look like fingernail moons anyway! Much more subtle.

that's very simular to the logo I had
Logo will be printed and online. size wise it will depend on the item. I have address labels, letterheads, website logo...
definatly do not want a sinister look. perhaps it needs to be more rounded? or different colours? I make jewellery. Alot of it has a spiritual basis like healing crystals, chakra related items and pendulums. Mostly I work with silver and semi precious stones. I also hope to start selling some of the things I sew. I really like this logo but it needs to be right, I wanted a more earthly, natural, spiritual type feel. Something kind and soft, maybe like those black statues you get, that are just an outline with no detail at all but it's totally clear what they are. I'm not very good drawing with a mouse but I can draw well on paper and then transfer it to the pc

Now I am worried.................no one (apart from me) suggesting 4, bottom right

I'll be with you in the worried corner then Wombat - that one stood out most for me too

Is this better? a softer, kinder look?
bothered about the other looking sinister, as someone said when I look at it like it, it does too. makes me think of some secret dodgy goverment department

Gawds I'm sorry to have caused you so much angst!
I'm a Pagan (by birth) and I'm probably more sensitive than most about anything new agey being portrayed as something 'dark' or spooky. Its one of my big bug bears.
However, I DO like the phoenix, its just that I prefer the outlined one to the solid one, seems less brooding somehow.
The new more rounded shape is friendlier too, IMHO.

Softer, but still lacking the moon element of your name. Phoenix Moon is a lovely name though.

what about using the oo in moon and turnig them in to the sign for goddes (I think.) 2 half moons back to back. Or have I got me symbles mixed up?
something like this but ignore the font.
oops sorry pic a bit big

not to worry woodsprite, you were right and thats not a look I want. Pagan here too and I know what you mean.
goldy1, i really like that idea were you thinking of this?

yes it must be. sorry.

I really like goldy's drawing.

Yep - the rounder shape of the wings looks like a feathery hug
|

'a feathery hug' I like that
|

I think a feathery hug is a nice image for your healing jewelry

these are my banner ideas for my etsy shop. Ebay logos much smaller so I can just easily shrink but they have a great big banner. Just not sure which I like best

My eyes immediately went to the bottom one, but I am odd They all look good though!
|
Jamanda
|
I think the first one is the most eye catching, but the colours seem quite masculine. I like the second one best, it's a nice calm colour. I don't like the third one at all.
|

the bottom is my favorite too I like the top one the least thought it looked kind of firey
|
sean
|
Don't like the third one. The second one would look better without boxes IMHO.
|

|
I hadn't noticed that. they aren't meant to be there and I'm not sure why they showed up there the text fields from publisher
|
sean
|
Well if you get rid of them then that one gets my vote, maybe with a slightly greyer set of blues. Actually, ignore that last bit, you can go mad trying to discuss shades over the internet
|
Tay
|
I think it's between 2 and 4. The fourth one is the most calming and neutral, but the second is blue, so sky-like, therefore fits well with 'Moon'. If you could post the second one without boxes, that would help us to decide.

calming is good

I think that one fits best with the moon idea. But I'm completely type A, so you should probably ignore me.
|
Tay

I can't decide between 2 and 4 - they're both great. If I had to, I'd choose 2 for the blue moonness. I like the style of 4 with the paler central area; maybe you could do that with the blue version, as I find that this draws ones eyes to the title more - the darker blue at the top makes the first line to the right harder to read...

How does your blood group effect your taste
|
Tay

Off topic, but Type A people are supposed to have a vegetarian diet - it loosely equates to 'tastes'.

2. No contest, now you've removed the boxes.
|
ros

2 without the boxes looks great!
|
woodsprite

I love 2, fabulous!

2 gets my vote
