long tail mice

we have a pair residing in the bramble bed and they seem very happy with their present of wheat and dried peas.

i will set up the big remote activated camera and try to get some snaps next time i feed them as the little camera through the window in twilight is a bit messy

fun wee critters

They are really lovely as long as they stay outside.

It's been mild enough (thus far) that I haven't had my usual winter small rodent invasion. Last year it was House Mice.

Agree with you about them being nice outside. We get wood mice in the woods, and they are lovely when they are just running about, but when they invade the shelters, they can do a lot of damage and make a bit of a smell too.

At least Wood Mice don't smell quite as much as House Mice!

Could be - I think the picture is from that there London. I'd believe anything could happen there. Laughing

No they aren't that neat. Wood mice smell quite mousey when there are a number of them. We evicted about a dozen from a caravan that had been in the woods for a while, and it still smells mildly of mouse. Nick

That's what caravans are supposed to smell of. Cars smell of new car. Lifts smell of wee. Caravans of mice. Mistress Rose

We have never had one before, and that was given to us about third hand having been in the woods for ages. We think we have evicted the mice, but it leaks, so we only really use the toilet. dpack

the mice have been indoors and i assume feasting rather than out gathering.
i will give it another day and try to get some cute photos.

when i lived in a wood i got to know a few as they were keen on dog scoff ,boot laces and pillow stuffing etc etc .

i also got to see owl claws up close as the owl used my porch as a high seat. Laughing
