Low Carbon Communities Conference

Been sent details of this conference in Llangollen in October. As it says on the website - 'The event is for community led groups working on local Transition / carbon reduction projects.' So I thought I should publisize it here in case it was of interest.

I'm really keen to go ( so if you are thinking of going let me know) I just have to work out how to get there 'sustainably' - where's the nearest train station? Wrexham?

Nearest train station is Ruabon or Chirk.

You would still need to get a Taxi or Bus from there though.

From Wrexham/Chester...
Follow A483, leave bypass at Ruabon heading along A539 towards LLANGOLLEN. On reaching Llangollen continue towards Horseshoe Pass (do not turn over bridge into Llangollen). Pavilion entrance will be seen on the right approx 0.5km. Enter ground through Wooden Gates, parking area to the left adjacent to Pavilion building.

oh thanks ! Especially the train info. Since one of the speakers lives close to Oxford in a very active environmental community I'm making enquiries as to whether there is any group travel going on
