Ludlow Medieval FairWas smashing yesterday! We saw Martin & Suzie and bought lots of jerky, listened to really good minstrels, ate things, bought things (including a sheepskin) and generally had a good time.
I bought a set of wooden dpns from someone who wants to buy some pork from the next lot of pigs!
Lovely sunny day too: brilliant, very thick frost on the way down making everywhere look fantastic. Branden seems to have caught the sheep bug: he's fascinated by them and now has his own box of raw fleece here.
What have I done!

Do we have a section on DS that advertises these events to members? I always seem to find out about them after they've been.

Right at the bottom of the list there's "Reviews and What's On". Although I don't think this was posted there.
Today we have Ffair Aeaf at Builth, tomorrow too.

I bought a stainless steel hip flask this weekend for only £2.99. Nothing to fill it though

It's always a great event and really kicks of the celebrations for me. We went on Saturday eve, it's always even more atmospheric at night imho. Saw Martin and bought some jerky and had a lovely time followed by a bit of an impromptu party at a friends house afterwards.
