Medieval Banquet anyone ?A watercress farm in Hampshire is being plauged by swans which so far, have nibbled their way through £250,000 of watercress this last twelve months.
The watercress farmer is powerless to stop the 62 birds from plundering his crop because the swans are a protected species. It must be leaving him with quite a bitter taste to see his livelyhood disappearing in this manner.
