I would have put an offer in, but I have no idea as to what its worth and I didn't want to make an a**e of myself by offering what may be considered a too low price. If you can give an idea of "offers in excess of £...." I might have been brave enough to try......or on the otherhand, I might have thought " blimey....way out of my pocket". I'm now gonna look on ebay

To be honest Richard, it hardly seems worth buying a machine for one goat. It takes me ten minutes max to milk out by hand and then I only have the bucket to clean and not all the pipework etc. I used to milk 5 goats and the whole thing only took an hour.
Besides nuzzling into the side of a contented goat and milking away quietly whilst half asleep yourself is one of the joys of goatkeeping.

I am with you there, doing one goat is a pleasure, Its when you have a load to do or you need a break & no one else can hand milk that the machine comes into its own. I had a period when I was doing 5 & my hands were cramping up & the starting of tendonitus was setting it. Thats when the machine came into its own.
