The little patch of Trumpets has grown then Pete.
I wonder if my patches will come now it has rained.
Somehow I don't think so.

Yes, I was surprised that they survived the frosts. After the rain has stopped I might check again, and the other patch(s) I know just incase more have fruited, but I haven't much hope that anything new will appear.

If you know a good Blewit spot it could well be worth checking out. I found so many this morning it was hard not to step on them. More pictures later.

Yes, I have got plenty anyway. We should have arranged to go out together as there was enough to fill two baskets, but I did not know that at the time. Out of interest I leave the odd ones that are on there own in obvious places etc. That way I can see if anyone has been picking them 
That big patch in the picture is well hidden - it has taken me a year to find it!

No, I have seen no evidence of Blewit picking, but someone has been at the Parasol mushrooms (Macrolepiota procera) in the past. Whoever it is like me they don't like the Shaggy Parasol.
Oh... and if you get stuck, don't find any etc please give me a call and if free I'll pop over.

Pete, thanks for the heads-up. I know a great Blewit spot near me, which I will check out this weekend.
