Mushrooms all over the shopAll the fields around me are full of mushrooms today. I think the fields were formerly (last year) either kale or rape, but just grass at the moment, growing on top of recently ploughed land. Volvariella speciosa .They have a bag at the base, pink gills and smell of raw potatoes. Very common on old hay bales. Edible, I think, but not at all nice. |

I looked up a few photos and that looks like the ones. Shame they don't taste all that nice as there are several thousand around where my Dad lives. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated
