My duck's stolen my goose!

I notice the female goose is now hanging around with my remaining drake, and the gander's off on his own and not looking too concerned!

I might get some gucklings or doslings next year!

A friend of mine keeps lots of different breeds of chickens (and I mean lots). Recently his next door neighbours Muscovy duck keeps hanging around in his garden. He caught his buff orpington cockerel giving it one the other day. I know what phrase I would have used to exclaim my suprise Wink

My Muscovy drake is currently bunking up at night with two young LS x cockerels.
No idea what is going on there. Shocked

Very Happy we have what the locals call the odd couple which is a swan and wild goose they paired up about 4 years ago when the swan lost his mate. it looks quite strange but we are now used to seeing them.

Ye gods I hope my Muscovy drake doesn't start getting ideas about the hens.

He'd squash them.

The old mallard call at the village would terrorise the geese. they would refuse to go into the house with him in the evening and he would be sculking in the corner watching them with a glint in his eye. in the morning they would explode out of the door and he would saunter out behing them metephorically smoking a post coitial ciggie.
