Pole barnPicked up a load of poles very cheap $100 for 3 trailer loads decided to build a pole barn come garage at the side of our reefer unit. My problem was how to raise these poles which were 20 feet long & 3 of them 57 in round & stick em in the floor 5 feet on my own.

replyYes over here, yorkshire miner living in sunny florida. I used a set of blocks that i borrowed from the coal mine to pull them up, not an easy task but after working down a mine for over 20 years, no problem. Got quite a buzz when i got the first one in place but moving them that last few inch's side to side to get em in line with one another took some doing, I gestimate that some of these poles weigh well over half a ton!
