nationwide money problem

If you are downsizing abroad and rely as many do on the Nationwide for your cash, given the up to now free conversion rates, bewarned this will stop in November. http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/jul/31/nationwide-flexaccount-charge-withdrawals

Thanks for flagging this up!

bummer, I remember this from years ago, working out that just taking money out of a Flexaccount abroad was rather cheaper than all the other Foreign currency options Smile I recall trying to get this confirmed by Nationwide who were rather reluctant to admit it really. They would much rather have told travellers cheques.

That's a real bummer Sad

Don't think anyone else does it now do they?

No, they were the only ones. I am told that around one million UK pensioners, now living abroad, use flex accounts for their banking, that is a lot of customers to piss off!
