Need a video editor that......will allow me to put images into an animation, each having a duration of 1 second. Windows movie maker won't allow me to shorten the duration to less than 1.2 seconds, and as I'm trying to show something real-time and each image was taken every 1 second, thats irritating.
Is there a freebie or lowish priced shareware package that'll do the job?

Of course, if you'd stuck with a Mac...

I don't know if it will do what you want, but have you tried Adobe Premiere Elements? There is a free trial download available, and it is a "lite" version of the mainstream Premiere product, which is one of the de facto standards for video editing.

Premier Elements (v4) and Photoshop Elements (v6) come as a bundle - both available for trail from the Abode website I think.
