Network wireless thingI am trying to find something that works on the wireless network, that connects to the base router wirelessly and that you can then plug computers or printers in to.Like a 4-port switch that doesn't need a cable to tap in to the network. As far as I can ascertain, nobody around here has ever heard of such a thing. I can't be the only person to think this would be a good idea, surely? |

It is available they just dont understand what you want & what they are selling.
A few options a, wireless repeaters often have cat 5 ports too (see link) b, use the same item as you have already in repeater mode (most support this & will be cheaper, see link 2) c, use a wireless card / usb dongle in the pc & plug all the items into that & then share them over the network (but then that pc must be on for the others to see the items) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132648 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139105 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132431 (only has one cat 5 port) |

They go by various names, wireless bridge routers, wireless LAN bridge etc. |
