New Desk top.

We just splashed out on a Compaq Presario PC.
This old Laptop I've got is old now.
I hope everyone not about to tell me they are on special offer in Dixons, or it's crap. Laughing

Anybody got one?
Cathryn

Hey Bingo, I'm playing on my new Dell Inspiron at the moment (no daughter it is mine!). Who cares if they are special offer or not, you've got it now Smile
Cathryn

However the wireless router is still not playing... Evil or Very Mad

Windows Vista and my old BT modem don't get along so I'm back on the old Laptop untill a new modem comes.

Am I gonna meet more problems like this because of Vista?
sean

Don't think so. You can probably download the Vista drivers using your old laptop. You will however meet loads of self-described IT experts who'll tell you things like 'Vista isn't compatible with the internet.'

Thats the problem with computer stuff. The thing you buy to day for £x is reduced tommorow to £Y & the better one is avaliable for £x. I think that pc bits have the steepest depreciation of any item.

Ok so I'm a luddite its taken me all day to get around to reading this one and everytime I saw it I was anticipating something bizarre being used as a new top for the desk - my excuse is in bed with the lurgy.
