New market

I am looking to appeal to a different audience for my terriers, I rekon thay need respect and not to be placed in unsuitable homes where they could be subject to abuse, as they are working terriers.
Bred mainly as ratting teriers, but are versatile and intelligent I think there is a huge market out there for this new breed, especially with the history they have.
So what I am looking for is magazines that would publish favourable articles on them , any suggestions?( I would of course supply the articles and pictures)

Thoughts and suggestions gratefully accepted

So you want to sell them as working dogs?

I'm not particularly loooking to sell my dogs, I have plenty customers via the website. What I am looking for is to publicise them as what they are a versatile, adaptable little dogs. But , they will hunt and find rats and rabbits if they get the chance , after all they are terriers. What I dont want them to end up is as digging dogs, for the shovel brigade, they deserve better than that, and I will not sell to that market.
I am looking for a whole new audience and shows away from the game fair crowd, is there an alternative? as they are not yet ready for recognition by the KC, although we do issue pedigrees and have a database for them with the Plummer Terrier club of Great Britain.

Badger baiting.

Well I can understand not wanting your dogs to go to that market.

The country section of the Saturday Telegraph? Wouldn't be easy (they would want to interview you I guess, rather than accept an article) but would be very good if you did get in there.

When you say versatile and intelligent, could you see them having other uses than ratting etc? Eg could they work with the police/army, I assume that they're pretty energetic and nosey and you wouldn't want them to be a suburban pet either.

My son has one as a pet, it very fat and lazy, eats and hunts household spiders, gets bathed in bubbles by the children wears swords down its collar, has a cape, and occasionally becomes a small dalmation, when they fet tip pen spots on her! very tolerant.

They are bright full of life, love to swim, retreive naturally from being tiny puppies, are agile ,versatle, make good find dogs, do agility, obedience - and are very beautiful.

I think they are the next Jack Russell..only better

Been having the strangest moment reading this. First of all I read terriers as terrors, and then I thought we were talking about one market in particular as in "don't send the terrors to strawberrydown market, they're all badger baiters there". Had some odd pictures in my mind Laughing Laughing .That'll teach me to read more carefully Embarassed .
