which reminds me - can you tell me how to make that rainbow hat? Grenwich would love it (it's alright - she's at Glastonbury, so it'll be a surprise)

Wow I did not realise so many hellos, even bonseur Exclamation Sally in wales might be the best one to ask about the hat..would love to have a pointy felt time here, can host something specially if you cant wait a year Question Very Happy

Could we have our very own fibre skills fest, for those who love the idea of fibre/woolfest, but think it's really to far? A crafty weekend of all things woolly? I absolutey promise to come (I'll leave himself behind if necessary!)
Ginkotree

would love to host a wooly weekend, could provide catering, fleeces, sheep and share my limited skills, plant dying and spinning but do not know how to start it off. Very Happy
Jamanda

Work out what you will need to charge to cover the catering and camping. (We all paid £10 a head for the last shindig)
Pick a date, and start a sign up thread.

How about I start it off, and you can teach me to spin? Tell me the date, and we'll go from there.
Ginkotree

We are free the end of july and the end of august early september.

How about weekend of either 16 August or 6 September? I could be freefor either of those to come and help Smile
Ginkotree

new skill

Very Happy Sept 6 sounds good to me as I was turning the machine on to get in touch with Sally to help as I could not have done the last?first sharing without her. What a lovely surprise to find you had already read the skill chat Very Happy
wellington womble

September 6, it is then (if you are quite sure we haven't bullied you into it!) Give me the nod, and I'll start a thread about it, and catch up with Sally about the nuts and bolts.
GENT

Mum says;
Yes definitely the 6th September, but on recruiting people please make them aware that the cost will have to be a bit higher than ten pounds, as there are things to consider, like the collecting and burning of wood, extra help needed to get ready etc.
she is a terrible busyness woman and hates setting prices, but just be aware that it wont be ten pounds, though it wont be daft.

Quite right too - I'll get on it........

Edited to add, I ought to wait until we know if Frewen can actually come, before I get carried away in a tide of enthusiasm!
jema

I don't think anyone was under any illusion that last time was not an incredible bargain!
Ginkotree

thanks for seeing that it was a bargain, I would like to chat with Sally as she knows catering costs etc as i would love to make this a lovely sharing time.As Jack said ,we wont make it silly money but Fair exchange is what we are all about, and getting the skills out there for everyone to do Very Happy
Ginkotree

skill sharing

wanted to add that if people were to travel here from a long (or short) Very Happy way they are welcome to stay at the farm before or after to make the most of the petrol and see the local sites.

Ah! Found it.

I'll come if I possibly can.

welcome to ds
Ginkotree

Hiya Dpack, Thanks for the hide in the woods, have found a cover for it and some camo net. We also have fenced across the big gate and put in a little wooden one for easier access. And another wooden gate from the field onto the footpath. You inspired us to do more and the Scouts are going to help with keeping clearing the path from the farm....Amazing the ripple effect Very Happy Very Happy
