Ahh they're lovely and especially the one in the red top. I am amazed that the goats are newborn, they look so sturdy. I imagined all gangly like lambs or foals.

That's always a surprise to me too - they really are sturdy little lasses, aren't they?

Nothing. But Arvo has had a Road To Damascus Goat Conversion. I am actually quite scared ...

It does appear to be so - he even mentioned it in front of witnesses.
Or do you think he is just calling your bluff?

Possibly. Or it might be the fact that it's a Long Term Plan that has lured him in to a false sense of security .

Where are they going to live?

That's the long term bit ... sorting out renting or buying (ha! Ha! HA!) some land.

Funny how long term can accelerate
Babies still doing fine, will need to visit the vet soon to be disbudded which is scary. Goats can be brain damaged if it's not done right. I had decided I wasn't going to bother if we had boys again, but since these ones will stay, and we have children round all the time, it's a necessary evil.
The local vet's receptionist says he's been doing it a hundred years so I hope he will inspire confidence. With the price of fuel I don't really want to take them the hour and a half round trip again. Cost £80 to fill up this morning
