Newbury Farmers Market. 4th May. Suppliers wanted.. UPDATEI will be at Newbury farmers market on the first Sunday of the month, May the 4 th. Displaying my spit roasts.
If there are any local farmers, small holders who are interested in supplying beasts for cooking please get in touch.
I will be displaying a "hand made meat" poster and a "Chicken out" poster.

Just had a booking for my spit roast on June 14th. Customer is looking for a local (Newbury) butcher/supplier for a pig.

Did my sums last night.....  Have had to re price my spits at £325.00. My financial advisor reminded me of several factors I had not included...... Steel delivery at £25.00, Gas bottle rental £60.00 per annum each, MIG wire, electrodes, SS Mig, pure Argon, grinding discs, paint, electric, lighting, advertising, business stationary, admin time, etc etc etc  
Still available to hire at £45.00 a weekend. Still looking for more local meat suppliers.

I have just been informed that the Sunday market is for locally produced food only.
NO CRAFT STALLS OF ANY DESCRIPTION ARE PERMITTED.
I will therefore be unable to attend. I am regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Very bum. I told a dozen or more people who had enquired about hiring a spit to "come on down" have a look at the set up, speak to the stall holders selling meat.
Printed posters (thanks Fee) Bought a sweatshirt with my pig logo on it (thanks Penny) made an mdf display pig (thanks bruv) bought display boards and table covering.
So I'm about £50 down.

Are there any other markets on you might be able to go to, even if they're not farmers markets? Seems a pity to lose all your preperation
