Nifty looking rocket stove

Just saw these via Bulworthy Project and thought some of you might be interested. They do general blacksmithery too, I think.

Cool
Now I know what to do with that length of 100x100x5 box section I have laying around.

They look interesting. Good for a summer cup of tea.

I like that. In the summer we only light our big Esse a couple of times a week for hot water. One of those would be brilliant for cooking in the yard Smile

I'm tempted by one of the Apostal Stoves They're a bit more expensive but beautifully designed and the welding is just art ..... sorry - I can't help it Wink

That's what people who collect welding porn always say.

When you say the welding is Art,it states its Tig welded, yet the flue is seam welded,
Reason i ask is my cowl on the rayburn blew apart in the high winds at the end of January, and apparently that was Tig welded according to the local blacksmith, and it was very fine spot welding, not the seamed work as shown.

Any welders that can confirm or otherwise,?
vegplot

The tube will be seam welded by the steel producer. The rest looks like TIG.

Nice design if a little pricey.

Vegplot,
Are you saying the Flue is Tig welded not Seam welded?

Listen,i`m not a welder, but stick things together with an Arc OK ish lol,
But i was under the impression it was light fabrication that was Tig welded like my stainless steel cowl,as even Mig would burn through it.
The Tig welding on the cowl was a series of pin head weld`s.
Mistress Rose

Going slightly off the subject, reminds me in shape of a fire husband constructed at an Easter Scout camp in about 1970 or so. That was very effective too, although the camp was freezing. vegplot

No.

You can TIG weld heavy stuff as well as light.
