overexposed isn't nearly as much of a problem as under ( unless they're transparencies) | ||

I had some prints done at the time by a Chinese guy I used to use off Clerkenwell Rd, he got them just right, there were two I really liked I had one done as a selenium and the other gold if I remember right. No idea where they are now. | ||

And on the subject of exposure they're doing thermals for pennies as well. | ||

Aaah - black and white - Danny Chau they stopped doing 'proper' printing a few years back, just inkjets now. I have BW done by Robin Bell, we often work together on projects, he does the monochrome, I do the colour. |

Don't get over excited. Its more than likely a load of rubbish. I bought one back from the states a couple of years ago and it was hardly worth having. | ||

A decent (Gen 2) one would set you back a minimum of £1500. This one would offer you a snowstorm with the occasional pair of glinting eyes. | ||

quite a few soldiers on a forum rate them quite well, even though its 1st Gen they recon its a fair bit of kit for the price. | ||

I got them the last time they came out and rate them for rabbits with the IR on them but with an IR filter on my lamp it`s like night and day !!
They are good for creeping about the countryside in the dark. I spotted someone passing on the otherside of a wood from me with full beam on their vehicle and I thought it must be a farmer, then the lights went out and for 5-10 minutes nothing, so I switched on the NV and scanned the woods. Lo and behold I spotted a light through it that I couldn`t see with my eyes and they seemed to be lamping the trees for roosting pheasant and as it was owned by the farmer I was lamping rabbits/foxes for I decided to give them a warning. I fired an un-modded .222 into a bale ! The light went out and the vehicle ended up driving off with the lights out 
Good bits of kit IMHO. |

Hi
I bought a Lidl version last Christmas for about the same price and that is excellent! Add a LED IR torch (Spiderfire?) form Ebay and you can light up an area of about 60-70 mtrs |
