No sheep at the Agri Show, but...14 of the chaps who would have been showing sheep got together to decide what to do instead. All ages, teens to seventies. So en masse, they each entered 2 classes in the Home Industries section : Cherry cake and Fatless Sponge. One of them won the sponge class, and another got 3rd in the cherry. Brilliant ! They're on Border TV on Monday, and were likely on Border News this evening. There's talk of a repeat next year, though most reckoned it was more stress than showing sheep.

I expect there'll be a health scare and subsequent movement ban on cherry cake by this time next year...

But what will they be showing the sheep? Hopefully not how to strip off for charity calendars.

How to knit, obviously. As well as spinning, weaving, crochet...
