not that i have anthing to trade....but as some of you may know, my car went bang on the north circular last week and it took the boys and I three days to get home!
Im now sharing with mum again ( which she s none to pleased about) and ive had my freecycle ad deleted as im not allowed to ask for a car apparently!!
so, does anyone know of any cheap ( i mean really cheap or free) small cars that need a loving new home? maybe one that is soon for the scrap yard???
im crossing everything that will cross... Jamsam XX

Crikey, that's harsh Jamsam - people are always asking for cars on ours. And offering them - I will keep an eye out.

Try the local scrap yards and cheep 2nd hand car dealerships as well as the local paper for cheep cars. Unfortunately anything with an MOT is worth £300 at least.

try the back lot of trade in garages

go for something with a rep for being strong and mendable /not really needed on a car
body damage etc is a badge of honour if the thing works but they need changing and can be rather messy but 3rd party and at least it got some more use is ok ,
last time i did this i got an ace volvo for £60 ,mot pass etc

When I was learning to drive (on the other side of the road, being a Canuck) we bought a banger on eBay for £250 and she's been fantastic and with low emissions too.

well i have been told of many phantom free cars over the past few days, it seems everyone knows some one who knows some one who is getting rid of one!
im going to ask my old work place if they fancy letting me use thier banged up old transit over the summer....

That would be where I learned to drive too... but at least it was the right side of the road.

well thats it.
the verdict from the garage is that the car is officailly dead. dead and gone...finito...£70 of scrap metal.
so im back to the bus again ( which is a tad hard here when you only have two a day! one in, one out!!)
any suggestions for a source of a car greatfully welcomed!!! ( avoiding freecycle as i find i am now not welcome after my complaint about car ads!)
