selling pigeon ??Wood pigeon shoot with .22 airgun with permisssion from local farmer.
Thinking of selling pigeon breasts to local restaurants @ markets etc
Do i need a game licence - have a food hygiene cert - is they any other licensing issues ???
ideas on price / labelling.
Advise welcome...

shoot them and find a butcher to take them off your hand, you will need a lot of paperwork for a business like that i would of thought.

Easier and maybe more valuable swapped with others than sold for cash, maybe? Try an ad here offering to trade them.

I think they have relaxed the "game" selling rules recently.

But if the birds are being 'butchered' then you'll need to contact Environmental Health.

In England anyway: http://www.basc.org.uk/content/game_licences_
I'm not sure if game licences actually covered pigeons as they aren't technically game.
