Gower StoneworkMy brother has a business doing stonework, decorative and structural, in the Swansea area. For the past few years his business has come mostly from word of mouth and he's been constantly busy but with the recession the work is starting to be affected. I suppose more people are opting for cheap breezeblock walls and less elaborate and decorative stuff.
He's taken out an ad in yellow pages and got a website up and I've said I would look at other ways he can publicise what he does. I was wondering what you have to do to have a banner ad on this page like the ones at the top right hand corner.
He really does beautiful work.

As far as I am aware he would have to be a member to have a Banner add (but don't quote me!).
A blog is a good way of publicising his work - search engines are constantly scouring posts - we have had a lot of interest generated from our Spanish mosaic blog even though it has only been 3 weeks since it started.
Press coverage is hard but maybe a story from a different angle might interest the press they are always looking for new material. Be inventive.....it can pay dividends. Good luck.

Thanks, I'm really just trying to investigate possibilities as he's not really very good with the whole world of computers. I doubt he'd join here so that probably rules out a banner advert but I'll keep thinking.
