No idea what kind, but they're dark wood colour. The rush seat is lighter than the wood, but has mellowed with age, so not bright, new, straw-coloured.
The chairs have a rung on each side around the legs, and two more between the sides underneath [maybe a footrest or summat for the person in the row behind ? One wide rung halfway up the chair back [which has the hymnbook holder on the reverse], and a wide top rung with a flat top. No arms. I think they're lovely, but I just don't need them and haven't really got room for them. |

I've put my sensible head back on, and they're not really what we're after, though they do sound lovely! |
