Online Courses

Mochyn pointed me at these.

I'm just starting on one, but thought they might be of interest to someone else.

They're free, fairly low impact, at 3-4 hours a week, and appear to be of high quality. Time will tell...

I'm doing one...if I can find time!!

I'm on the penultimate week of England in the time of Richard III and week one of the forensic science one. Both very interesting: the former is full of interesting students and their comments are providing some excellent links.

There a common thread there. Been digging around any car parks lately?

I've signed up for the introduction to forensics. I was went for a job interview for scenes of crime many, many years ago.

They're fairly small courses, probably edited from bigger ones they run. Consider it advertising?
Nick

They've just announced there will be a certificate of completeness following an exam at a local centre if you wish. There will be a charge for this. I make no comment on te cost or the value, because I don't know. Mithril

My daughter (15) has signed up for a Java programming one. Starts next week I think. Looks really interesting (she ought have made a simple game by the end of it). mochyn

To which courses does that apply, Nick?
Nick

The forensics one. I've avoided the course, because of noisy Americans, but I'll catch up in my own time. It was in this week's email. mochyn

Ah! I've sort of put that on hold: I'm doing a charged course which is much more intense.
