Our new home to be....

... one day Smile

It is a 1990 LT35 Hi top long wheel base van and is called Dee Dee. It's had one owner from new and is in fantastic condition.

We are fitting it out with a shower and toilet, double bed, kitchen and wood burning stove, the Louis Ranger from Windy Smithy

http://www.windysmithy.co.uk/html/woodburners.htm

Electricity will be supplied by leisure batteries, but will only be used for LED lighting, and for TV and Laptops. No plumbed in gas, all heating and cooking will be done on the range, or outdoors.

Can't wait to start building Smile

We're thinking grey or green, but leaving the roof white.
tahir

L20B is blinking gorgeous...

I always wanted a transporter in L61A and an LT in L20B, unfortunately our transporters were always grey or blue.

I used to drive an LT35 in the early 80's, cracking vehicle, could get it sideways quite easily as I recall Embarassed it also did about 20,000 miles running on 3 cylinders Laughing

Sad

We want to be a bit more discreet than that Tahir, as we'll be wild camping a lot, not sure we'll blend into the background that well in those colours Laughing

You will in Essex.

We'll have to have "Pen and Steve" across the windscreen too.

No, because my legs aren't long enough to reach both accelerators. Otherwise I would.

So, are they normal sized pants, and you're a midget? Bebo

So, are they normal sized pants, and you're a midget?

They are giant pants for a large short-a*se.
cassy

Good luck with your plans; you must be very excited. Very Happy

I would recommend a rocket stove for cooking outdoors in the summer, if you haven't come across them already.

Not sure about the knitted chickens. Have fun doing the van though. Should be great having it set up exactly how you want it. Penny Outskirts

Progress so far. A bit more has been done after these pictures- fronts on the cupoards under the sofas and a box around the battery space.

Where's the garage for the bike? Penny Outskirts

We're getting a special trailer for the bike - it's a bit like an a-frame car towing thingy, but for a bike - very clever. And we have an awning Smile madcat

very best wishes Penny and many happy travels.

Penny Outskirts

Oh yes - I'd forgotten about that. I am a member, must go and have a look again. Thanks for the reminder Smile Duckhead

When you say "our new home" Are you selling up and going on the road, Forever? Penny Outskirts

When you say "our new home" Are you selling up and going on the road, Forever?

Not got anything to sell up, we rent our current home, so if we get fed up with being in the van, we will rent again.

I thought that was the case but wasn't sure.

The world is your lobster. What fun. You are very welcome to park it at ours.
