Pak Choi and Chinese CabbageAbout to plant winter seeds. Not grown, or eaten, Pak Choi or Chinese Cabbage before.
Little uncertain - are these plants where you take off the leaves and the plant gives you more, or do you eat the whole plant and need to plant another one?
If the latter, how long will a plant last before it is inedible - as in do I need to do succession planting?

What I think of as Chinese cabbage I would harvest whole as the outer leaves tend to be a bit tatty, whereas pak choi you can either take individual leaves from or harvest the whole plant.
The Chinese cabbage will stand in the ground for quite a long time, so you can probably get away without succession planting. The pak choi will bolt after a while (although less enthusiastically during the short days), so a couple of sowings would be a good idea.
All the above is, however, dependent on the slugs not eating the whole lot!!!
