PearsI have 3 old pear trees that are covered in pears, but they are always too hard to eat, what can I do with them? What about pear cider / perry?

It depends what variety and so on, but with many pears you should pick them whilst still hard, and then store them in a cool dark place for a few weeks to allow them to mature. Whereas many apples are best eaten straight off the tree, the opposite is generally true with pears.
