peat wetlands are rather nice for a variety of reasons.

re the frozen peat soils of the north there are a couple of links in the mini ice age thread to the state of things in the permafrost regions.

We need a good mixture, no doubt about it but I think forests are generally overrated & wetlands ignored. So much potential.

swampy got so named cos his tunnel at fairmile was rather wet rather than for his swamp hugging Laughing

bog hopper is a term used for folk who like crossing wetlands for fun but i dont think floundering counts as hugging
