Pen holder for Christmas?

Thanks to the generosity of a forum member I have some apple wood in small diameter branches. I have done one of these as an example and can make them for £7.50 +postage. Initially I was thinking just for Etsy / MISI etc but they may be an ideal small gift for someone who has everything else.

Each one would be a it different and I could make them with no bark at all if preferred. Size, 4" tall and 2" dia. Will fit into a stocking as well.
