Peppers and lots of themWe are growing a variety of peppers about 10 different types. We got good production off of them early in the summer and then they just stopped. Now we are getting a second go around and the production is twice what it was earlier in the year. Anyone else experience this with their pepper plants?
Thank you

Mine have only have one flush, but they have been very productive. The ones that are meant to be sweet are darn hot - and the ones that are meant to be green and hot have gone red. I haven't tried a red one yet.

I've grown three varieties of chilli this year and they've been cropping consitently for the last two and a bit months and there are still loads to come.
Sweet peppers have been very prolific as well but we have only had red (ripe) ones for the last couple of weeks. We're getting more than we can use in one go so I've been slicing them and stir frying them with onions before freezing them. They'll get chucked into casseroles etc through the winter.

My supposed to be red ones go rotten if I leave them but taste fine green.
I've frozen loads - no need to blanch them either

its the weather its had this effect on loads of crops this year a bit like the spring bulbs sprouting early then changing their minds.
the same thing with the hay it grew to harvest stage then the rains came the grass that was ready and not cut seeded and died back but the second wave of grass has produced some fantastic hay both coarse and soft grade.(well thats the case here in cambs)
