Permitted Development Rights on farms....With the 465m2 development rights for farms over 5ha, is it every two years that you can apply? We put in an application for some barns that took us close to the limit in April 2008. I now want to apply for further permission to erect a greenhouse and possibly some pig sties, am I right in thinking that I'll have to wait till next year? The barns aren't up yet though one looks like it might happen this winter 
Apropos the greenhouse, I remember RIF talking about the one he was planning to put up this year, which he didn't have time to do in the end. There was talk of putting plans up here for projects that might be of interest to other DS people, did it ever happen? I'm hopeless at finding things on this site 
And finally, I've got a friend who has just moved into a yurt. This is her first winter and she's trying to decide the best way to insulate it. She's been advised against felt on the grounds that it'll get damp but I think that with a wood burner, felt would be fine, but I am perfectly happy to admit I know nothing about it! It's a 15ft yurt so she needs about 50m of something, and like most of us, money is tight. She was thinking of maybe the foil backed stuff? Any ideas clever people?
