Phantom system tray icon

How bizarre. Started my machine up afresh this morning and - for the first time ever - the UPS icon has appeared twice in the system tray. Only one of them represents the active process (with a working right-click context menu). The other one does produce a yellow tool-tip when the mouse is hovered over it, but is otherwise inert. Never seen that before.
