According to an article in our local paper, the 'toggles' are called piri piri and Kune Kune pigs have them:

Only present on Kune Kunes as far as I know. Certainly, they haven't been on any of the pigs I've kept (OSB, Large black, Berkshires, Mangalitzas).

As far as i'm aware its only Kune Kune's that have them although I did once see a saddleback x Kune Kune which looked like a saddleback but had enormous toggles!
To be honest they looked like clogs od S*ite cows get on their tails!

Our Kune Kunes have toggles - no idea if other breeds do and no idea what they are for either. You can just see them here on Pignatius:

Aww he's gorgeous!! Yep my sister has kune kune's some with some without. The fact that the two little ones I have are more than half the size of my saddleback/pietrain crosses at same age did ring some warning bells. My sister had viewed them and I went with her to collect them,I said to her at the time they looked like kune kune's,she said she'd seen them with their "mum" who was a huge saddleback/tamworth x.Oh well you live and learn, I'd post some pics but my stupid phone or camera will not perform!btw its only the boar that has the toggles.

Oops meant mum was old spot/tamworth, weaners were advertised as 75% old spot 25% tamworth.

Ye gods! A Tamworth with piri-piri! No, never heard of such, or a GOS with them.
For a Kune kune to be of show quality it needs even and well-developed pir-piri, but they're not essential to 'ordinary' k-ks. Sounds to me like either you're vendor is fly or doesn't know the provenance of the pigs. NEver mind, they'll probably still make good eating.
