Interesting, the question I would ask though is whether the fact that this is cheaper and more powerful that a PI compensates for the difference in community size? Newer PIs are also absurdly powerful even if they are not as powerful as the pine.

I wouldn't know, but now that you have asked, I am moved to wonder how much they overlap in compatibility: they're running similar OS, and similar software and no doubt will often be used for similar things...

indeed, you don't tend to care which pc you buy as you expect the software to run anyway.

I've just had a closer look and on paper, it does look appreciably better than the Pi, though one thing that puzzled me was that they say it'll run on Li-ions, but the Pi cannot: why can the Pi not? Does it just need that little bit more voltage?

The other point to consider is that the latest PI full model is a year old or thereabouts now. Care to make any bets on model C being just round the bend?

I'm already around the bend: I can't see it so far. Wink

I'll not be buying either just yet: I already have a Pi and I've only just started playing with it: should be a while before I exhaust the possibilities...
