poorly legged chook

one of my youngsters has got a swollen and bruised foot. she can't seem to put any weight on it. she is still quite chipper and eating well. I can't feel any obvious break and she still grips my finger if I put it in her grip. she is mearly feeling sorry for herself a shadowing me when I am in the garden and looking for cuddles...

thoughts?

Not just Helen Embarassed

When I got my Buff Orpington cockerel as a wee un, the Silkies and Pekins beat him up so he used to run to me and jump into my arms for protection. Thankfully, he grew a pair and stopped being such a wuss. I think I'd fall over if he jumped into my arms today!!
