Taht's all very well, digit, but I want one NOW! It's such an obvious idea though; why has no-one done it before?
Castle Farm

I can forsee a need for a full set of weatherproofs and an area that can be washed down with a hose after.

Interesting idea though...I wonder if I could use my strimmer Laughing
Chez

I will be ordering one of these when Arvo gets home tomorrow - we have three cockerels to do sometime in the next week. What a brilliant idea!

Let me know how it goes. I saw that in the catalogue that came with the BASC mag the other day and was intrigued.

Does it work dry? Or do you still have to dip?

As it uses the same fingers that the dipped plucker does they will still need dipping.

You can buy replacement fingers for a few £'s.

Chez: did you get one? Does it work?

I've had mine and its a simple bit of kit, there's a film showing it working on www.theplucker.biz and dry plucking works best.

Just ordered one myself, dry plucking will be ideal as my turkeys never fit in a container that I can keep the water hot for long enough.

One question; can the wings be done?
Mutton

Recommend watching the film - with the sound on. See how long you last before you get the giggles from the number of times the cheery American says "Plucker" - with emphasis - because that is the product he is selling.

Other than that, they only show the breast being done.

It would be pretty heavy to hold a goose up to that tool.

Be interested to hear how folks get on with the ones they've bought.
