Quail againI want some quail - I reckon I can get away with it and I have a totally enclosed run.
Get them now or wait until spring?

Go on get them now, you know you want to.

You got any?

Nope, got call ducks, turkeys and lots of chooks, but no quail. If you can't get hold of birds and you want some hatched I do have incubator space

I've got fertile eggs but I'm to far from you to supply live birds.
Is your enclosure covered?
I still think they need weather protection from the wet especially the cold wet of winter.

You could keep them in a rabbit/guinea pig hutch with a run,

I have a covered run and house which I got for my (then) two hens.
It then went to being the illness/iolation/broody pen...and I have good shelter underneath some conifer's in an enclosed garden
How cold is too cold for them?

They can stand the worst our winters can throw at them if they are dry.
Wet feathers don't insulate.
Ideally a covered aviary with weather protection from the prevailing wind.
You will probably find they don't use the house but will roost under the shrubs.
They don't go to bed like chickens & roost on the ground.
